Join us on April 22, 2010 when we discuss the many situations that lead to homelessness and what is happening in our local faith & social services community to address the root causes of homelessness.
We'll go beyond "poverty", the simple explanation for homelessness, & consider how other issues contribute to why people become homeless such as:
- The high incidence of veterans who experience homelessness
- How the cycle of domestic violence impacts housing for women & children
- What unstable mental health & uncontrolled chemical dependency have to do with homelessness
