Compassion Action Network Faith Forums
Bi-annually, the Compassion Action Network (CAN), in collaboration with the Circle of Influence (COI) group, coordinate a Faith Forum offering representatives from local faith communities, non-profits, and county government an opportunity to get together concerning a topic of interest to the Anoka County community. Typically, the forums take place in the fall and spring and include:
- a keynote presentation on the topic
- several educational break-out sessions
- resource information sharing and
- networking opportunities
- snacks and lunch
Forums are hosted in local faith communities, coordinated by the CAN Advisory Board and COI participants, and sponsored by CAN. Through the Faith Forum, CAN strives to provide a formal avenue for our 3 partner entities to connect, grow and collaborate by focusing on 3 primary objectives:
- Educate and discuss a specific topic & how it impacts the Anoka County community
- Highlight specific aspects of the topic and programs which seek to deal with the topic
- Provide opportunities to work together to build a stronger community
